Trust me, these are beautiful, easy to care and low-maintenance plants and some of them are great health purifier. Adding some indoor plants to your home can instantly brighten up your living space and overall give us a warm effects & fresh or inviting feelings.

Plants will add some humidifier or health purifier both indoor and outdoor and that means plants making our environment easier to live in. In color psychology, green color is linked to nature, calm, living and growth. So here are my TOP 5 plant list for GardeningForFun.com readers.

Everyday gardener’s long time favorite; Money Plant. You can grow this beauty easily in soil or in the water and of course any size and shape containers; small pots, big pots, jugs, bottles are in hanging basket. There are lots of different kinds of Pothos varieties; dark green leaves, neon leaves, paton leaves and Marble leaves.

Clearly, your whole indoor collection could be made up of photos varieties and look diverse. Pothos grow best in direct sunlight, so I usually keep all my pothos near the windows or balcony so they can get good filtered light and aeration and water them usually every five to six days or whenever top inch of soil feels dry. And when you best think about photos, you can to put them easily in water or in sun.

  1. Pothos or Money Plant
  1. Snake Plant

So moving to the next plant, which is Snake plant. I really love this small and edgy outwards look of this plant. You can find snake plants literally on all landscape or interior design clocks. This plant is the ultimate low-maintenance plant and also a hard one kill and seems to like to be ignored. They are perfect to add little bit of greenery to your home.

I usually water my little snake plants every two weeks and have found that these plants are altered to very low light area so you can keep this plant in low light area. Snake plant is not one of the purifier plants. Snake plant can help to remove Formahide, that’s a chemical which is unfortunately found in many conventional personal care and cleaning products.

Interestingly, Snake plant absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen at night. However, the health purifier plants do this during the daytime. You can get many varieties of snake plants. This one is droves of fun, you can get many varieties with dark leaves, colored leaves, I love the variety.  You can combine the  dark green colored leaves and yellow color strips to create a very exotic look.

  1. Spider Plant

Moving to the next plant which is a Spider plant. You will love these lush delicate green colors that the spider plant can bring into your home. They do well in medium filtered sunlight with good aeration area. Spider plant can alter in low lights to some extent and they are very fast growing.

This spider plant, I have was planted in the month of April and now you can see this one has grown profusely and all these small babies are from this plant. You’ll always notice that a grown spider plant babies that is offshoot which you can propagate by cutting and placing them in smaller pots or in waters. Like many other popular plants, I only water this one when the top inch of soil is dry. The spider plant is also an earth purifying plant.

  1. ZZ Plant
  1. Next plant, which is one of my favorite plant; ZZ plant. ZZ plant is the perfect low-light plant and one plant that you can give 10 feet away from your window with great success. I really love this upright form of plant with dark green glossy leaves, which literally shine.

I water my ZZ plant even less than my succulents at least once every three weeks. Since it doesn’t get as much sunlight as the others, the soil doesn’t dry up nearly as fast. You might have seen this plant in many offices, restaurants, airports because of their less demanding nature. You simply cannot go wrong with a ZZ Plant.

5. Rubber Plant

  1. Last plant on my list is this beautiful pretty looking Rubber plant. Besides being an attractive low-maintenance plant, it also purifies. Place the plant in a  bright and well lit spot in your home or office.  This needs to be indirect of morning sunlight. Avoid direct sunlight especially in the afternoon sun, otherwise the leaves will eventually fall off.

About soil for the rubber plant, always use good quality or mix with proper drainage.

Water more directly whenever the top one inch of soil feels dry. Provide sufficient drainage to plant and avoid excess watering as it may cause root rot. Try for cool, moist and humid air. You can mist the leaves with water once or twice a week. Those are the best care practice for the rubber plant.

So this completes my list of the Top indoor plants for beginners.  You can’t go wrong with these 5, low miniatous house plants.  No live plan is a set and forge plant. These five require very low maintenance but will add a lot of freshness to your home or office. I simply cannot recommend them highly enough.
